Richard Dawkins

June 7th, 2010

With less than two weeks to go, we are proud to announce another great addition to our list of speakers – professor of biology and bestselling author Richard Dawkins!

You probably know him, but here is the short version: Millions have read his books, which have been sold in over 30 languages, and many have seen his television documentaries on BBC and Channel Four. Furthermore he is the founder of the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science, which supports scientific education, critical thinking and evidence-based understanding of the natural world in the quest to overcome religious fundamentalism, superstition, intolerance and human suffering.

Don’t allow yourself to miss the fantastic opportunity of hearing Richard Dawkins among many others in Copenhagen 18-20. June 2010!

James Randi

March 28th, 2010

RANDI - Kopi
We are proud to announce that we will have one of the grand old men of the atheist and skeptical movement in Copenhagen. James Randi will be one of our featured speakers! If you were not convinced about your participation in the conference before, now you have no excuse not to buy your ticket.

I guess you all know James Randi, but just to give the short version:
James Randi started as a professional magician but is now best known as a skeptic and investigator of paranormal claims. He founded the “James Randi Educational Foundation” that investigates paranormal, supernatural and pseudoscientific claims. Randi is widely known for the “Million Dollar Challenge”, where the JREF offers $1,000,000 to anyone who can prove their supernatural claims under test conditions. So far, no one has collected the prize and psychics and the like tend to ignore the challenge.

Randi is truly one of key figures in the skeptical movement and can take credit for the fact that groups of skeptics are appearing all over the world.

We are happy to share the news with you – and we look forward to seeing you all in Copenhagen this June.
